Fiji Ginger Almond Butter

Inspired by Big Spoon Co-Founder Mark’s homemade trail mix made with almonds and crystallized ginger, this Fiji Ginger Almond Butter introduced the concept of almond butter blended with ginger way back in 2012. Their search for delicious, traceable, sustainable ginger led them to The Ginger People’s Fiji Ginger Project in Viti Levu, Fiji.

Using regenerative practices that build soil health, the ginger farmers rotate their ginger crops with cassava, taro, and other annual crops to maintain the integrity and productivity of the local ecosystem. The same cooperative of farmers also grows their own cane sugar, which they use to crystallize the ginger onsite.
